Dan Wolgemuth

Dan Wolgemuth

Director of Music Ministry

Dan Wolgemuth began his musical career while still in Junior High, playing piano with his father, the organist in their local church in Lebanon, PA.  After attending Lancaster Bible College, he began touring the country with a gospel music.drama troupe, MANNA, which he co-founded with Rev. "Amen Henry" Harrison, noted singer/pastor from Harlem, New York City. As a composer he has worked in theatre, television and film and has conducted  and arranged  for artists in commercial music (Leslie Gore, Bill Cosby, Patti Labelle) and sacred music (Pat Boone, Andrae Crouch, Glad, Adrienne Reedy). His music producing credits range from original shows off-broadway, regional theatre and Atlantic City passenger cruise ship revues to numerous recordings. Dan served as orchestra arrranger/conductor for the exciting, new Christian recording artist, Jeemin Lee, now signed to the Sony Classical label. His arrangement of I Wonder as I Wander was featured in concert by the New York City Master Chorale at the St. Patrick's Cathedral annual Christmas Eve Concert. PILATE, his first full-length musical, was written and "work-shopped" at the Covenant in Easton, CT and is now being considered for production at theaters in PA.

"The very most important fact about me is that thru the grace of a sovereign God, His Son, Jesus Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit, my life has been touched and inexorably changed with salvation, love, creativity, compassion and the joy of working for His Church." John 3:30 (KJV) describes my daily aspiration. Come join us, here at Shenkel UCC, in giving back to our Creator the exciting talents in music and art that he has given to all of us. Then we can begin on earth what we will most certainly continue around the throne in heaven- worshiping God and singing in spirit and in truth.
